Q1: Where is your matcha produced?
A: We source matcha primarily from Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and from trusted producers across Kyushu. We only handle high-quality matcha from contracted farmers.
Q2: What is the shelf life?
A: When unopened, the shelf life is approximately 12 months from the production date. However, to maintain quality, PJI sets the shelf life at 9 months. After opening, we recommend consuming it as soon as possible.
Q3: Can you issue a Certificate of Origin (CoO) and a Phytosanitary Certificate (Phyto)?
A: Yes, we can issue them when required. The Certificate of Origin is officially obtained from the Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Phytosanitary Certificate is officially issued by the Plant Protection Station.
For shipments requiring these certificates, if all procedures go smoothly, we can ship in approximately 2–3 weeks.
As a general rule, we do not issue other types of documents.
Q4: Can you issue a Health Certificate?
A: Unfortunately, Japan does not have an official Health Certificate system for matcha powder. Instead, we obtain a Phytosanitary Certificate and a Certificate of Origin as needed to help meet the importing country’s requirements.
Q5: How should matcha be stored?
A: To keep matcha fresh, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Especially after opening, refrigerated storage is recommended to avoid light, heat, humidity, and odors.
When removing matcha from the refrigerator, allow it to return to room temperature before opening to prevent condensation.
Quality deteriorates with heat, humidity, light, and oxygen, so reseal tightly and use as soon as possible after opening.

Q8: Is your matcha organic?
A: Our matcha is not JAS organic certified. However, we use high-safety raw materials and pay close attention to pesticide residue control.
Q9: Do you offer product samples?
A: Yes, samples are available. We typically provide paid 4g packs, which can be purchased from our product list.
Q10: Can you support multilingual labels?

A: Japanese and English are our main languages. We may also support Arabic, Spanish, and other languages using translation tools.
