Storage Instructions

• Unopened  Store in the refrigerator or freezer.
• After opening  Seal tightly in an airtight container (such as a tin canister or resealable zipper bag) and keep in a cool, dark place.
• If you use it frequently (and will finish it quickly)  To avoid moisture caused by temperature changes and odor transfer, it may be better to store it in a cool, dark place rather than in the refrigerator.
• Avoid humidity  Hojicha easily absorbs moisture and surrounding odors, which can reduce its aroma and flavor. Avoid storing it loosely (e.g., left casually in a cupboard) and keep it tightly sealed.
• When using  To prevent sudden temperature changes, take out only the amount you need each time.

Important Note

• Unopened hojicha may lose quality if repeatedly moved between room temperature and the refrigerator/freezer. Avoid frequent temperature cycling.

• • If opened hojicha is placed in the refrigerator without resealing it tightly, it can absorb humidity and odors inside the fridge, which may speed up quality deterioration.
