夏祭り ― 宇宙と心を結ぶ一服の茶

Summer Festival — A Bowl of Tea that Connects the Universe and the Heart

掛軸　月和水流

立秋を過ぎ、処暑の新月を迎えました。

自然に育まれた茶の木より生まれる抹茶。

これをひと碗に入れ、火で温めた水を注ぎ、人が円（縁）を描くごとく茶筅をふるう。

その所作は、人と人とを結び、和を生む茶の湯は、空間を芸術となし得る、日本が誇るべき文化であると存じます。

この貴重なる機会を賜りました 英語学校のオーナー様をはじめ、日本の未来を担う子どもたち、先生方、保護者の皆様、また、抹茶をご提供くださいました 八女抹茶”清雅 “のオーナー様、さらに陰日向にてお支えくださいました多くの方々に、心より御礼申し上げます。

ここに謹んで深甚なる感謝を申し上げます。

PJIに大変ありがたいお言葉を頂きました。

After Risshū (the beginning of autumn) has passed, we welcomed the new moon of Shosho (the season of “End of Heat”).Matcha is born from tea trees nurtured by nature. We place it into a single bowl, pour in water warmed over the fire, and whisk with the chasen as if drawing a circle—an “en” (a bond).

Through these gestures, people are connected, and harmony is created. I believe that chanoyu (the Way of Tea), which can transform a space into art, is a culture Japan truly should be proud of.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the owner of the English school who granted us this precious opportunity; to the children who will carry Japan’s future, as well as to their teachers, parents, and guardians; to the owner of Yame Matcha “Seiga” for providing the matcha; and to the many people who supported us both seen and unseen.

With deepest respect, I offer my profound thanks.Truly, truly—thank you very much.
