地域とともに成長するPure Japan International. | “Pure Japan International. Growing Together with the Community”

Pure Japan International.（PJI）は、福岡・九州の生産者が丹精込めて作った抹茶や日本茶を、海外のお客様へ届ける事業を行っています。事業としては「輸出」ですが、私たちの原点は常にこの地域にあります。

八女をはじめとする茶産地には、長い歴史と磨かれた技術、そして誠実にものづくりと向き合う生産者の方々がいます。一方で、その価値が十分に伝わらないまま、価格や流通などの課題によって苦労されている現実もあります。PJIは、生産者の想いと確かな品質を、正しく、誠実に世界へ届ける“橋渡し役”でありたいと考えています。

海外のお客様から「なぜこの抹茶はこんなに美味しいのか」「誰が作っているのか」と尋ねられるたびに、地域の気候や土地、そして生産者の方々の物語を伝えることこそが、私たちの大切な仕事だと実感します。それは単なる商品説明ではなく、地域そのものの価値を伝えることだと思っています。

今後は、地域の事業者同士がつながる機会づくりや、若い世代が地域産業に誇りを持てるような取り組みにも、少しずつ関わっていきたいと考えています。小さな会社ではありますが、地域とともに成長し、地域に還元できる存在であり続けることが、PJIの目標です。

Pure Japan International. (PJI) is engaged in bringing matcha and Japanese teas—carefully crafted by producers in Fukuoka and across Kyushu—to customers overseas. Although our business is “export,” our starting point has always been here in this region.

Tea-producing areas such as Yame are home to a long history, refined techniques, and producers who approach their craft with sincerity and pride. At the same time, there are realities where that value is not fully communicated, and many producers continue to face challenges related to pricing and distribution. PJI aims to serve as a bridge—conveying both the producers’ passion and the true quality of their tea to the world, accurately and with integrity.

Whenever overseas customers ask, “Why is this matcha so delicious?” or “Who makes it?”, we are reminded that telling the story of the local climate, the land, and the people behind the tea is an essential part of our work. It is more than product information—it is about sharing the value of the region itself.

Looking ahead, we hope to gradually become involved in initiatives that create opportunities for local businesses to connect with one another, and that help younger generations feel pride in regional industries. We may be a small company, but PJI’s goal is to continue growing together with the community and to remain a presence that gives back to the region.
